Partner and Managing Director, Retail Sales
Dean is a senior partner and Managing Director with
responsibility for the firm’s Strategy, Sales, Marketing and
Institutional departments. He is an investment industry veteran
with over 20 years’ experience—and is among a select few senior
executives that have held influential positions within asset
management and the brokerage industry. As a result, Dean has a
unique advantage in creating and delivering asset management
solutions specifically tailored to the retail brokerage industry.
Dean holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the
University of British Columbia and the Chartered Financial

Taras has industry experience since 1999, and has held senior
institutional positions at some of Canada’s most prominent asset
management firms. As Head of Institutional Business, Taras is
responsible for serving our institutional clients with distinction
while growing our institutional presence on a global scale.
Taras graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor
of Economics degree and holds a Masters of Business
Administration from the University of Edinburgh.

Aaron has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry,
beginning with GT Global in 1994, and including eight years at
Synergy Asset Management and four years at Invesco. Aaron
brings unique insight to building a robust advisory practice,
drawing on his extensive experience in marketing, institutional
services, and national accounts. Given his extensive background
in asset management, Aaron is adept at partnering with advisors
to find the best solutions for meeting their clients’ needs for
wealth generation and protection.
Born in the beautiful Canary Islands in Spain, Aaron grew up in Regent Park and later lived in Markham and East Gwillimbury. His favourite sport is Moto GP. Aaron is married with two kids. He received the coveted “Best Dad in the World” trophy from his 10 year old son in 2013, and has been slipping in the polls ever since. Aaron plans to be at Picton Mahoney “until I retire.”

Partner and Vice President (ON, Atlantic Canada)
Scott is a Partner and Vice President at Picton Mahoney Asset Management. Drawing on over two decades of experience in the industry and Picton Mahoney’s portfolio construction and authentic hedge expertise, Scott works with advisors to implement the best solutions for protecting and growing client wealth. Scott began his investment career at Franklin Templeton Investments in 1995 where he worked in client services, dealer services, and various sales roles before becoming Regional Vice President, Ontario. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from the University of Western Ontario and is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA).
Married with two young kids and a golden retriever, Scott is a competitive golfer (captain of Western’s golf team and represented Ontario a couple of times for amateur golf).

Andrew’s 20+ year investment career includes nine years at
Standard Life Investments, five years at Raymond James and five
years at Credential Securities. He’s held a range of roles, including
Investment Advisor, Head of Mutual Fund Research, Head of
Portfolio Services, and VP, National Accounts. He joined Picton
Mahoney in 2012, holds a BA in Economics and Environmental
Studies from the University of Victoria and is a Chartered
Investment Manager (CIM).
Favourite business book is Triumph of the Optimists (although he also recommends Fever Pitch, as a fervid footie fan). He is married with a wonderful wife and two young children: if he isn't working, he is with them. "Nothing makes me happier."

Vice President (QC)
Patrick has over 25 years of experience in the investment industry in various roles, which has given him an outstanding ability to partner with advisors in designing investment solutions
that cater to investors’ needs. Prior to joining Picton Mahoney,
Patrick was President and Portfolio Manager at Integralis Wealth
Management, Vice President at AIM Trimark where he was
responsible for the Quebec market, and a member of the
Canadian Equity Institutional desk at Richardson Greenshields.
Patrick holds a Masters in Finance from the University of
Sherbrooke and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Partner and Sales Manager
Sarah guides the dealers’ investment advisory teams in assessing and
implementing hedge funds as a client portfolio risk management tool. She holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the University of British Columbia. Sarah’s background includes the role of Associate Investment Advisor at Richardson GMP where she worked closely with the partners to facilitate the management of their high net worth investors.
Sarah likes to keep active and has a passion for downhill skiing, long distance running and golf on a sunny day. As a trained recreational pilot, it is no surprise that Sarah enjoys travelling and exploring new places.

Vice President, Institutional Business
Andrew has over five years of investment experience including roles as an Investment Analyst at Manulife Financial, an Associate in CIBC’s Graduate Rotational Program and most recently as a Business Development Associate for CIBC Asset Management. Currently, Andrew services the institutional client base at Picton Mahoney and contributes to the growth of the firm’s institutional asset base. Andrew has an MBA and Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University and the CFA designation.
Andrew was born and raised in 'Steeltown' - Hamilton, Ontario. Instilled at an early age was the belief in the merits of hard work, perseverance and teamwork. He is a hockey enthusiast, former competitive tennis player and is well versed in the field of alternative investments. Andrew is always looking for ways to assist Picton Mahoney's institutional clients in realizing their long-term investment objectives.

Inside Sales Associate
Matthew Harrison is an Inside Sales Associate at Picton Mahoney Asset Management. Working in the industry since 2010, Matthew has taken on various roles, such as District Sales Representative for Mackenzie Investments, Portfolio Analyst at GE Capital, and Sales Associate at BlueShark LLP in London, England. Matt has a Bachelor of Economics from Dalhousie University.
Sabrina Teed is an Inside Sales Associate at Picton Mahoney Asset Management.
Since joining the industry in 2011, Sabrina has worked on both the investment
dealer and retail asset management sides of the business. She spent several years
working in a Business Development capacity for an advisor team at Richardson
GMP, and also gained experience as a District Sales Associate for Sentry
Investments. Sabrina has an Honours B.A. in Psychology from the University of
Guelph and has successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course.
Institutional Business Associate
Connor Haslip is a member of the Institutional team at Picton Mahoney Asset Management, focusing on business development and servicing for Canadian Endowments and Foundations. He has helped bring forward a number of initiatives to better serve PMAM’s existing client base, build out product infrastructure, and expand the institutional reach of the firm. Connor held a role on the firm’s software development team, making a transition in 2015 to bring a new perspective and skillset to the Institutional Business team. Connor graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Engineering Sciences degree in Software Engineering.
